International Programs Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center Clinical Trials Information presented on Clinical Trials Search isn't intended to be a substitute for proven healthcare advice, trips or treatment using a real physician. We are not docs. Always confer with your mD on International Programs Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center conditions. Clinical Trials Search.org is a site dedicated to listing clinical research studies in human subjects. International Programs Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center Clinical research trials and International Programs Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center medical trials take place in hundreds of localities across the U.S.. A clinical trial or clinical study is a research project with human volunteer subjects. Clinical drug trials and pharmaceutical clinical trials usually measure the effectiveness of new drugs. The intention of the studies / projects is to resolve certain human health questions. Clinical trials are a popular means for physicians, government agencies, and private sector corporations to detect remedies for all forms of circumstances, like International Programs Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center. International Programs Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center Clinical Trials and other clinical trials allow for volunteers to undergo healthcare treatment options before they are available to the masses. Most times the participants receive treatment for free, and every now and again they are paid for their time. Occasionally there is a cost for a International Programs Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center clinical trial. Subjects typically recieve the finest healthcare available for their International Programs Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center condition. Hazards are a reality, nonetheless, and might include more or frequent mD trips, health risks (potentially life-endangering), and/or the treatment being ineffective. International Programs Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center
For Condition: Cardiovascular Diseases,Heart Diseases,Lung Diseases
Status: Completed
Sponsor(s): National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) ,
Synopsis: To continue the work of the Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center (CSCC) on international studies in cardiopulmonary disease epidemiology. The work is being performed under bilateral agreements that the NHLBI has entered into with Russia, The People's Republic of China and Pakistan. The contract provides nutritional, epidemiologic and biostatistical services in support of these studies.
Details: BACKGROUND: Computer processing, biostatistical, and epidemiological services at the Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center (CSCC) had been funded previously as part of the NHLBI Lipid Research Clinics (LRC) contracts. In FY 1990, contract N01HV08112 was awarded separately from the LRC for the first time and provided services for collaborative studies carried out under NHLBI international bilateral agreements with the USSR, Poland, and the People's Republic of China. The assistance has provided important contributions to large-scale, international epidemiological studies resulting from bilateral agreements between the United States and other countries. The results of these efforts have provided insights into different disease patterns and trends throughout the world. DESIGN NARRATIVE: The CSCC coordinates data collection and data file transfer, coordinates scientific meetings, visits the collaborating countries, hosts collaborative scientists, and directs data analysis, combining data from all countries.
