Antineoplaston Therapy in Treating Patients With Stage IV Lung Cancer Clinical Trials Information presented on Clinical Trials Search isn't designed to be a substitute for certified healthcare advice, travels to or professional assistance using a genuine medical doctor. We are not physicians. Always confer with your dr. about Antineoplaston Therapy in Treating Patients With Stage IV Lung Cancer conditions. Clinical Trials Search.org is a site devoted to listing clinical research studies in human subjects. Antineoplaston Therapy in Treating Patients With Stage IV Lung Cancer Clinical research trials and Antineoplaston Therapy in Treating Patients With Stage IV Lung Cancer medical trials happen in hundreds of places across the United States. A clinical trial or clinical study is a research project with human volunteer subjects. Clinical drug trials and pharmaceutical clinical trials usually measure the effectualness of new drugs. The intention of the studies / undertakings is to solve certain human healthcare questions. Clinical trials are a popular manner for mDs, government agencies, and private sector companies to locate treatments for all forms of circumstances, such as Antineoplaston Therapy in Treating Patients With Stage IV Lung Cancer. Antineoplaston Therapy in Treating Patients With Stage IV Lung Cancer Clinical Trials and other clinical trials allow for volunteers to undergo medical treatment choices before they are available to the general public. Some times the human subjects get treatment for free of charge, and sometimes they are paid for their time. Occasionally there is a cost for a Antineoplaston Therapy in Treating Patients With Stage IV Lung Cancer clinical trial. Participants frequently get the best healthcare available for their Antineoplaston Therapy in Treating Patients With Stage IV Lung Cancer condition. Risks are a reality, nonetheless, and can include extra or frequent physician trips, medical risks (possibly life-jeopardising), and/or the treatment being ineffective. Trials are federally governed with exacting guidelines to protect clinical trials subjects.

Antineoplaston Therapy in Treating Patients With Stage IV Lung Cancer

Antineoplaston Therapy in Treating Patients With Stage IV Lung Cancer

For Condition: recurrent non-small cell lung cancer, adenocarcinoma of the lung, stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer
Status: Recruiting
Sponsor(s): Burzynski Research Institute ,
Synopsis: RATIONALE: Antineoplastons are naturally-occurring substances that may also be made in the laboratory. Antineoplastons may inhibit the growth of cancer cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial studies the effectiveness of antineoplaston therapy in treating patients who have stage IV lung cancer.
Details: OBJECTIVES: - Determine the safety and possible effectiveness of antineoplastons A10 and AS2-1 in patients with incurable adenocarcinoma of the lung. - Describe response to, tolerance to, and side effects of this regimen in these patients. OUTLINE: This is an open-label study. Patients receive gradually escalating doses of antineoplaston A10 and antineoplaston AS2-1 by intravenous injection 6 times daily until the maximum tolerated dose is reached. Treatment continues for at least 2 months in the absence of unacceptable toxicity or disease progression. Tumors are measured every 2 months for 1 year and then every 3 months for 1 year. PROJECTED ACCRUAL: Approximately 20-40 patients will be accrued for this study.
